Humanist Association of Massachusetts Library

Our library contains an extensive collection of over 750 books by Humanists, about humanism, Philosophy,  and Religion. Many of the authors are Humanists or write about Humanism. Some write from a Philosophical or Religious position about Humanist and Humanist related topics. Our collection is one that any Humanist would envy. Our lending policy is outlined below. We also are host to a very comprehensive collection of Free Thought literature which can easily be downloaded in self-extracting format from our site.

Our library is broken into six pages for your perusal:

Our Library Lending Policy

  • A borrower must be a current paid-up member of HAM to borrow books from the library.
  • The borrower may come into the library in the basement of Memorial Church in Harvard Yard after calling or emailing in advance to insure the book is there and the library is open.
  • If it is not convenient to come to the library, the book will be mailed to the borrower if the borrower pays the postage.
  • A copy of the book list will be sent to any HAM member upon request for the cost of the postage.

If you have questions or comments about our library holdings or policy please contact
